Why we stopped making planters

Planters outsold everything for two years, and we still cut them from the catalogue. The failure rate at the shoulder — right where the drainage curve meets the wall — never dropped below one in five.

The lesson we kept: a form that fights your clay body costs more than it earns, whatever the order book says.

The old listings still sit at their first addresses. The planter range lived on the shop page before the collection was reorganised, and the firing note that started the line is still linked as its original journal entry. Both send you somewhere sensible these days; we never did go back and tidy the links.
