Slow drying in a cold barn

A cold barn dries pots from the rim down and cracks them from the base up. Winter throwing means plastic tents, damp boxes, and accepting that everything takes twice as long.

The compromise that works: throw Saturday, trim Wednesday, and never trust a handle joined in a hurry to a body that is colder than your hands.
