Dipping and pouring glaze

The three-second dip took three years to learn. Specific gravity, bisque porosity and hold time all trade against each other; change one, retune the others.

Wax the foot ring first, always. A clean glaze line at the foot separates a piece that looks made from one that looks dipped.
